Svenja Hansson
Biography
Svenja is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Romain Barrès at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen. Originally from Germany, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the Technical University in Karlsruhe. Following this, she pursued her Master’s in Human Biology at the University of Copenhagen before joining the Barrès group and the GECKO consortium in 2020. Svenja’s primary focus revolves around understanding organ crosstalk in health and disease. To address complex functional epigenomic questions, she employs CRISPR methodology to model these questions in vitro.
