Therese Freire
Biography
Therese is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacological Institute (IPMC), CNRS.
Therese graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry at the University of Sydney in 2018. She then completed her PhD in Medicine and Health from the University of Sydney, working in the laboratory group of Professor Stephen Simpson and Professor David Raubenheimer, under the supervision of Dr Samantha Solon-Biet and Dr Angela Crean. There, she investigated the effects of parental environment on fertility and offspring health. She also gained clinical experience working as an embryologist and andrologist and is passionate about disentangling the complex interactions between nutrition, reproduction and metabolism.
